Eat, Drink and Buy a Fez!

The Shriner's Hospitals for Children are an important staple for helping kids.

My friend and resident special effects expert - Clay Simchick - is a Shriner and he also plays bagpipes in the Tripoli Shrine pipes and drums band.

This year after Milwaukee's St. Patrick's Parade (which is on March 10th) Clay's band will be visiting a few bars in a sort of pub crawl, playing some Irish tunes and looking for donations. More information on locations can be found here: http://www.tripolihighlanders.org/pubcrawl.html

This locations will also be selling paper fezzes for $1. Each fez that gets sold is another dollar for the hospitals. So if you are out and about in the area of one of these places and get hungry or thirsty, please stop in and buy a fez! Bonus - maybe you can see Clay in a kilt?

Local Film Makes "On The Lot!"

ON THE LOT, executive-produced by Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg, will give aspiring filmmakers from around the world the chance to earn a $1-million development deal at DreamWorks.

Airing next spring on FOX, this unscripted series will feature a cast of 16 undiscovered filmmakers who will compete to win the support of the show's viewers, as their fate will be decided by a weekly audience vote.
The competition will air over two nights weekly, with a one-hour "Film Premiere" episode, followed the next night by a half-hour "Box Office" results show.
